Q: Is a record a person?

A: Yes, a person or organisation plus their details count as one record i.e. Level 1 stores 1,000 people and/or organisations.

Q: Can you use Focus on Fundraising software in place of an accounting system?

A: Focus on Fundraising software only looks after Income. We recommend that it is set up so that the Income Accounts reflect those used in your main accounting package. Users usually prefer to record all fundraising income in Focus on Fundraising software first and then transferred in bulk to their main accounting programme.

Q: Does Focus on Fundraising software interface with Outlook?

A: Yes. You can either mail merge to Outlook or alternatively export the details from Focus on Fundraising into a distribution list in Outlook.

Q: Can reports be created to provide information on areas like Volunteer availability?

A: Yes, reports are available in both form view and datasheet format. Reports can also be exported to Excel.

Q: Can we install the software ourselves?

A: Software for Single Users can be installed by simply following the installation instructions provided with the disc. Multiple User installations usually require an IT consultant to complete the installation. Focus on Fundraising staff are available for telephone support during the installation.

Q: Can another database system or Excel spreadsheets be imported into Focus on Fundraising software for the initial setup?

A: Yes. It can be time consuming importing into any database as all fields must match exactly in name and format to transfer the information accurately. Focus on Fundraising can provide a quote to complete the transfer of data from your existing database into the Focus on Fundraising software.

Q: What is the process once a group decides to purchase Focus on Fundraising software?
